India's power sector's mega picture is becoming bigger and bigger day by day. India has the potential to generate at least 50,000 to 60,000 MW of Nuclear power over the next 25 years. This will need an investment of over $100 billion. Out of this,at least a sum of Rs.2,00,000 Crore investment is expected in Nuclear Power Generation sector in next 15 years.
Nuke Deal has been cleared now, and as per Planning Commission, the deal will enable India to set up capacity of 15,960 MW by 2017 taking total capacity to around 20,000 MW.
As per estimates, around 200 medium to small companies are expected to get into the act as ancillary producers with big companies.
